Krakow: Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba hailed the productive cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan during the International Urban Forum. Speaking at the Ukrainian pavilion during the 'Urban Expo' exhibition, part of WUF13, Kuleba emphasized the significance of Ukraine's presence, marking a historic moment as the country showcased its national pavilion dedicated to the restoration of future homes.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kuleba expressed gratitude to the forum's organizers, particularly the Republic of Azerbaijan, for their support. Despite the ongoing war, Ukraine is committed to reconstruction efforts, aiming to rebuild better than before the large-scale occupation. Kuleba highlighted the challenging conditions Ukraine faces, with more than 20 schools currently operating underground due to the conflict.
The Deputy Prime Minister shared Ukraine's reality, acknowledging the hardships brought on by Russia's aggression while stressing the opportunity for reconstruction and resilience. Kuleba emphasized that the situation is not just a tragedy but also a chance to demonstrate the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
Kuleba also mentioned Angela Makeeva, the secretary of the Irpin city administration, who is present at the forum. He underlined the symbolic significance of Azerbaijan's assistance in rebuilding facilities in Ukraine, fostering meaningful discussions between governments.
