Baku – A new legislative development in Azerbaijan has been set into motion with the submission of a draft law to the Milli Majlis.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft law, signed by President Ilham Aliyev, proposes the creation of the Aghdara district. This initiative intends to re-establish the district, which was abolished in 1992. The envisaged Aghdara district will encompass areas from the Kalbajar, Tartar, and Aghdam districts.
The reformation of Aghdara as an administrative-territorial unit marks a significant change in the region’s administrative landscape, reflecting ongoing efforts to restructure and manage Azerbaijan’s territorial divisions more effectively.
