Baku: A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck Azerbaijan's Shamakhi district on Friday, 15 kilometers north of the Pirgulu station, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences told AZERTAC. The quake occurred at a depth of 3 km.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the tremor was not felt by residents in the area, indicating minimal impact on the surface. Despite the lack of noticeable effects, the event was recorded by the seismic monitoring systems in place, ensuring accurate data collection for future reference.
