Shusha: The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Business Forum, themed ‘Promotion of Investment and Trade as a Catalyst for Sustainable Development in the ECO Region,’ has commenced in Shusha. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Elnur Aliyev, the First Deputy Minister of Economy, highlighted that Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with ECO countries has increased by 10 percent, reaching 3.5 billion dollars.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Elnur Aliyev further noted that over 10,000 companies from ECO countries are currently operating in Azerbaijan. Additionally, ECO countries have invested more than 22 billion dollars in Azerbaijan over the years. The Deputy Minister emphasized the involvement of ECO countries in the restoration of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, stating, ‘Together, we can turn our shared vision into sustainable development. Azerbaijan is ready to use our joint potential for the benefit of our peoples.’
During the forum, information about the Alat Free Economic Zone was presented. The opening ceremony concluded with a family photo, marking the beginning of the 6th Business Forum held within the framework of ECO Week.
