Baku: The deepening of energy-related crises around the world has made international energy cooperation more important than before, Trkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said during his speech on the outcomes of the 5th Azerbaijan-Trkiye Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports. The minister noted that the world has faced a series of serious crises in recent years.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bayraktar highlighted that the process began with the pandemic, followed by the Russia-Ukraine war, and is now exacerbated by the U.S.-Iran confrontation, along with the Strait of Hormuz crisis. These events demonstrate that the new era has, in a sense, turned into a world of crises and conflicts, he explained.

Under such circumstances, Bayraktar emphasized that international cooperation, particularly reliable partnerships in the energy sector, has become more critical than ever. He pointed out that the energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Trkiye serves as a model, with the Azerbaijan-Trkiye Energy Forum acting as an institutional platform for this collaboration.

The minister further elaborated that while cooperation between Trkiye and Azerbaijan in the oil and gas sector persists, recent years have seen an expansion of this partnership into electricity and connectivity projects.
