Baku:Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov announced that international partners are showing significant interest in the planned expansion of the Port of Baku. This was discussed during the 'German-Azerbaijani Strategic Partnership and Connectivity Conference 2026.'
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Hasanov revealed that a cooperation model with a German company is currently under discussion. He noted the importance of creating a two-way cargo flow in the corridor to reach its full potential, as most containers are currently transported from east to west. Hasanov highlighted Germany's role as a major exporter and expressed a desire for German companies to engage in the next phase of the Middle Corridor as cargo owners, logistics operators, technology providers, and investors.
