During the phone conversation, President Joe Biden of the United States conveyed to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan that the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Türkiye is aligned with the national interests of the United States, said the U.S National security adviser Jake Sullivan, APA reports.
Regarding the issue of supplying fighter jets to Ankara, the advisor of the U.S. President stated, “Biden has consistently and openly expressed that the sale of F-16 aircraft is suitable for the alliance and the bilateral relations between the United States and Türkiye. This decision aligns with our interests.”
