First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva Visits Nursery-Kindergarten in Ganja

Ganja: First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, accompanied by her daughter Arzu Aliyeva, paid a visit to nursery-kindergarten No. 40 in Ganja. The visit, as reported by APA, aimed to assess the current state of the preschool facility.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the nursery-kindergarten, which was constructed in 1967, has the capacity to accommodate 120 children but is currently serving 70. The building is reported to be in a deteriorating condition, prompting the need for urgent attention. During the visit, Mehriban Aliyeva provided specific instructions to enhance the quality of preschool education and childcare at the institution.

In addition to state-led initiatives focused on both establishing new childcare facilities and upgrading existing ones, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, led by Mehriban Aliyeva, has played a significant role in this sector. Since 2014, the Foundation has been implementing the “Development of Preschool Education Institutions” program, which aims to contribute to the educational and developmental needs of children in Azerbaijan.
