At the initiative of the Russian government and in accordance with the joint memorandum on cooperation between the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and the Russian Red Cross Society, food and non-food products will be delivered by the Russian Red Cross Society to the city of Khankendi via the Aghdam-Askeran road to meet the food needs of the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society told AZERTAC. On September 9, at around 14:30, one truck loaded with food and food products crossed through the Samur checkpoint into the territory of Azerbaijan in accordance with the relevant legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This truck is currently moving towards Samur-Baku, Baku-Barda, Aghdam and Askeran. Additional information will be provided after the cargo's delivery to the final destination.
