Istanbul: Every war entails very serious risks, and it is impossible to predict it within a single geography or set of rules, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov remarked at a joint press conference following the trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Trkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia in Istanbul.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister underscored Azerbaijan's consistent stance on the necessity of halting wars and pursuing diplomatic resolutions to establish an initial ceasefire and ultimately lasting peace. He highlighted the expanding geography and tragic consequences of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Recently, a drone attack on two vessels resulted in the deaths of four Azerbaijani citizens and injuries to four others. Bayramov emphasized that as long as the war persists, such incidents remain a threat, stressing the importance of strategically ending military conflicts to avert major disasters for the parties involved and the broader regional and global communities.
In a direct appeal, the minister urged Azerbaijani citizens, as well as those from allied and friendly nations, to avoid military conflict zones and adhere to safety protocols. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, he noted, continually issues such advisories to ensure the safety of its citizens abroad.
