Fuzuli: October 17 marks a significant celebration in Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli as the city observes its official City Day with a series of cultural and festive events, Trend News Agency reported. The day was filled with activities including exhibitions, performances, and a grand fireworks display, all organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts.

According to Trend News Agency, the celebration attracted a variety of participants including state and government officials, cultural representatives, artists, and many locals who have returned to their homeland for the festivities. The event featured themed exhibitions such as “National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Fuzuli,” and “On the Wings of Time: Fuzuli,” alongside an art exhibition titled “My Fuzuli.” These exhibitions were designed to showcase the rich history and cultural heritage of the region.

Additionally, information about the historical and cultural landmarks of the Fuzuli district was shared, highlighting artifacts from recent archaeological excavations.

The day concluded with a gala concert followed by a spectacular fireworks display, marking the culmination of the celebrations. This annual event, established by a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on July 31, 2023, aims to celebrate the cultural significance and revitalization of Fuzuli.
