Baku: Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has met with the country's newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Giorgi Zakarashvili, APA's local bureau reports, citing the Georgian government's press service. Irakli Kobakhidze congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success. During the meeting, the importance of the ambassador's role in further deepening the strategic partnership with Azerbaijan was emphasized.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Giorgi Zakarashvili will assume his duties as Georgia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan on October 1.
