German Ambassador Highlights Armenia Peace Process as Key Regional Development

Baku: "The most important regional development for me as ambassador was the peace process with Armenia," German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann stated during a press conference marking the end of his diplomatic tenure, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Horlemann emphasized that supporting the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process was one of his main priorities during his time in Azerbaijan. He acknowledged Azerbaijan's dedication to international multilateralism, highlighting the nation's successful hosting of significant events like COP29 and WUF13.

Horlemann also addressed the impact of the two wars in Iran over the past year, noting that Azerbaijan found itself involved and targeted in this conflict, with drone attacks occurring at its airport. He observed Azerbaijan's increasing alignment with Central Asia and the Turkic world, evidenced by the growth of the Organization of Turkic States and the strengthening of cooperation within the organization.

Furthermore, the ambassador remarked on the cordial development of Azerbaijan-Germany relations across various sectors, suggesting the continuation of a friendly atmosphere between the two nations.
