German Embassy Condemns Iran’s Drone Attacks on Azerbaijan

Baku: The German Embassy has issued a strong condemnation of Iran's recent drone attacks targeting Azerbaijan, specifically the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The embassy expressed its concerns via a post on its social media account, highlighting the threat posed to Azerbaijan's security.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the embassy's statement read, "We strongly condemn today's strikes by Iranian drones in Nakhchivan and all actions that threaten Azerbaijan's security. We express our solidarity with Azerbaijan and with those affected by this incident." The statement further emphasized the embassy's commitment to closely monitoring the evolving situation and any future developments.

It has been reported that the drone attacks originated from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and caused significant disturbances in Nakhchivan. One of the drones struck the terminal building of the local airport, while another landed near a school building in the village of Shakarabad. The airport building suffered damage, and four individuals were injured in the incidents.
