Riyadh: The New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) has expressed serious concern and outrage over recent attacks by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The attacks, which involved unmanned aerial vehicles targeting the international airport and other civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, have alarmed both the party and the Azerbaijani public.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this act of provocation contradicts the spirit of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Iran and violates international law norms. It is perceived as an attempt to escalate military and political tensions in the region.

The New Azerbaijan Party emphasized that Azerbaijan, having restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty, remains committed to good neighborliness. The country's constructive policy and peace diplomacy aim to foster trust and cooperation in the region, taking into account national interests and global challenges.
