Baku: The Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan has condemned drone attacks by Iran on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, APA reports, citing the embassy. The diplomatic mission is closely monitoring information about Iranian UAV attacks on the territory of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ukrainian embassy expressed support and solidarity with Azerbaijan, urging a united front to strengthen the fight against regimes that undermine global security and the future of their peoples. The statement highlighted the long-standing use of Iranian drones as instruments of terror, noting that these weapons have been deployed by the Iranian regime to target Ukrainian cities, civilian infrastructure, and the peaceful population.
The embassy's statement also included comments from Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine's foreign minister, who remarked on the Iranian regime's history of terrorizing the region for decades, supporting and financing terrorist groups that instigate instability in other countries. The statement concluded by acknowledging Ukraine's understanding of the threat posed by regimes that disregard international law, dignity, and human life.
