The u.s. energy information administration (eia) under the department of energy has projected a significant increase in global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons by 2027:conomics reports, citing the EIA's monthly report. Global daily demand is expected to average 106.09 million barrels, marking an increase of 1.27 million barrels compared to the anticipated demand in 2026.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the EIA has also adjusted its forecast for 2026. The updated projection indicates that global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons will average 104.82 million barrels, which is 0.35 million barrels less than initially forecasted.

In 2025, global daily demand was recorded at 103.69 million barrels, signifying an increase of 0.86 million barrels from the 2024 figure of 102.8 million barrels. In comparison, the global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons in 2023 averaged 102.14 million barrels.
