Baku: The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC) is enhancing its collaboration with educational institutions to offer comprehensive cybersecurity education, as announced by Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan's Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), during the 7th graduation ceremony of the ACC.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Osmanov highlighted that the ACC is currently working with seven higher education institutions in Azerbaijan, where 12 different cybersecurity subjects are being taught. This initiative is aimed at incorporating modern cybersecurity knowledge into university curricula, aligning student training with international standards, and fostering the development of human capital in the field.

Osmanov emphasized the ACC's role in supporting the local innovation ecosystem. The center has facilitated the development of seven cybersecurity products and organized four national-level hackathons. In collaboration with the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, it has also conducted 12 hackathons among graduates. More than 70 workshops and masterclasses have been held, alongside preparation programs for international cybersecurity competitions. These efforts are crucial in enhancing the practical skills of young individuals, fostering innovative solutions, and nurturing new talent in Azerbaijan.

Additionally, Osmanov announced a new partnership with OffSec, a global leader in cybersecurity training and certification, under a memorandum of understanding. This collaboration is expected to further strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities in the country.
