Baku: An international congress titled "The First Turkological Congress: A Century of Scientific and Cultural Heritage" took place in Baku, marking the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the congress featured speeches from prominent figures, including President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Academician Isa Habibbeyli, Uzbekistan's Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, and President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev. Isa Habibbeyli emphasized the need for a new generation of researchers to study the culture, history, and literature of all Turkic peoples, highlighting efforts already underway such as dissertations and monographs.
The congress aimed to advance the integration of Turkic peoples and the science of Turkology. Ozodbek Nazarbekov stressed the importance of unity among Turkic nations, pointing out the challenges faced in the current international political landscape.
