International Photo Contest ‘Children’s Eyes on Earth’ Approaches Submission Deadline


BAKU: The international photo contest ‘Children’s Eyes on Earth,’ spearheaded by Leyla Aliyeva of the IDEA Public Union and supported by the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company, is approaching its submission deadline of October 31st. The initiative, founded by photographer Reza Deghati of ‘Reza Visual Academy,’ aims to engage young photographers globally in highlighting the effects of climate change.

According to Trend News Agency, the contest, launched on October 11th, seeks to amplify children’s views on nature and the threats posed by environmental pollution. The theme ‘I Love Nature, I Fear Pollution’ invites participants under 18 to express their environmental concerns and potential solutions through photography. A panel of esteemed photographers will evaluate the submissions in early November.

The contest is part of the broader effort to raise awareness ahead of COP29, scheduled for November 11th to 22nd in Baku. Winning photographs will be displayed at the ‘Heydar Aliyev Center’ starting November 18th
, in conjunction with the conference, attracting numerous international attendees. Organizers are urging young photographers worldwide to contribute their unique perspectives and participate in this global conversation on climate change.
