Riyadh: Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov reached the final match of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, facing a challenging contest.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hasrat Jafarov, competing in the 67 kg weight category, encountered Iranian wrestler Saeid Esmaili in the decisive match. Despite a valiant effort, Jafarov was defeated by Esmaili with a score of 3:8, concluding the Islamic Games with a commendable silver medal.

The event showcased Jafarov’s skill and determination, as he advanced through the competition to secure his place in the final match. Though he fell short of the gold, his performance earned him recognition and a place on the podium.
