Baku: Azerbaijan has successfully organized the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Italy's Deputy Minister for Environment and Energy Security Claudio Barbaro announced during the ministers' meeting on the New Urban Agenda, which was organized within the framework of WUF13 held in Baku, APA-Economics reports. He expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for hosting the forum at a high level.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the deputy minister emphasized that the local implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a key priority for sustainable development. Claudio Barbaro highlighted the significant role of integrating national and local voluntary reports in aligning policies across local, national, and global levels.

Barbaro stressed the importance of strengthening multilevel governance, accelerating the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals, and ensuring policy coherence as part of the midterm review of the New Urban Agenda.
