Baku: Today, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain, Jos© Manuel Albarez Bueno, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, during the telephone conversation, views were exchanged on the tense security situation and military escalation in the Middle East region. The importance of maintaining stability in the region was emphasized, and the importance of diplomatic channels and political dialogue to prevent further escalation of tension was noted.

Views were exchanged on possible cooperation issues related to ensuring the safety of foreign citizens in the escalation zone under the current circumstances and the evacuation of Spanish citizens in Iran via the Azerbaijani border, if necessary.
