“We are living special period of our history. Azerbaijan’s territories, which were under occupation for 30 years, have been liberated,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov at the briefing held after meeting with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovakia Ivan Korcok today, APA reports.
Foreign Minister said that statements dated November 10, 2020, and January 11, 2021, create new opportunities in the region: “Azerbaijan’s position has based on international law and norms. We consider normalization of relations among states within Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty very important. Trilateral statements create great opportunities for the restoration of transportation-communication and trade relations. Like other regional countries, Armenia will also see the benefits of the peace. Countries should honestly implement their obligations for it. But in some cases, we still do not see a constructive approach from Armenia. According to the trilateral statement, Armenia has undertaken an obligation to withdraw all military units from the territory of Azerbaijan. Armenia should stop its attempts to send servicemen to the Azerbaijani territory. It jeopardizes peace and security in the region. All steps, directed directly or indirectly to military operations must be stopped.”
