Baku: The volume of transportation along the Middle Corridor has experienced a significant increase, tripling according to the results of 2024. This announcement was made by Nurlan Sauranbayev, Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan and co-chairman of the commission, during the 21st meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Middle Corridor, which serves as a crucial link between Asia and Europe, holds substantial importance for Kazakhstan. Minister Sauranbayev highlighted that not only has the transportation volume tripled since the beginning of 2024, but it also witnessed a twofold increase in just the first eight months of the year. This surge underscores the corridor’s pivotal role in facilitating trade and economic activities between the regions.
