Baku: The Kyrgyz Republic is poised to take an active role in joint initiatives focused on hydropower, solar and wind energy, and the modernization of energy infrastructure. This commitment also extends to the development of cross-border energy corridors, as stated by Kyrgyz Energy Minister Taalaybek Ibraev during his speech at the 31st Baku Energy Forum.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Ibraev expressed confidence that enhancing regional cooperation will position Central Asia as a leader in sustainable energy development. This cooperation is anticipated to bolster the energy security of the states involved and contribute to the overall prosperity of the region.

The minister highlighted that regional cooperation is deemed critical by the Kyrgyz Republic for achieving its primary objectives. He also underscored the significance of new regional initiatives that aim to expedite the energy transition in the region.
