Kyrgyzstan Commences Construction of Industrial Plants in Naryn Region


NARYN: Construction has commenced on four industrial plants within the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan, according to Trend News Agency. The initiative, which is part of the Naryn SEZ-Kashkar SEZ industrial park, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov during a capsule-laying ceremony.

According to Trend News Agency, the new projects include the Naryn-Shumkar automobile assembly plant, the Naryn Chyrak LED lamp production plant, the Narynkgaz paper products factory, and the Naryn Algyr Technology enterprise, which will specialize in agricultural drones. The Naryn-Shumkar plant has secured a $130 million investment and is expected to create over 10,000 jobs, with a production capacity of more than 20,000 vehicles annually.

The LED lamp production facility, Naryn Chyrak, will see an investment of $10 million and aims to produce 30 million lamps per year, creating approximately 200 jobs. Meanwhile, the Narynkgaz factory is projected to produce 6,000 tons of paper products annually, backed by a $10 million
investment, and will provide more than 100 jobs. The agricultural drone manufacturer, Naryn Algyr Technology, is set to generate over 50 jobs.

Prime Minister Japarov also highlighted the broader industrial expansion in the region, noting the opening of 128 facilities by Independence Day, with an additional 45 commissioned on the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region’s formation. Plans are in place to open another 100 facilities by the end of the year, primarily in the manufacturing sector, including enterprises like the Naryn Moto company and a nail production plant.
