Baku: Kyrgyzstan is actively working to restore its construction sector relations with Azerbaijan, as stated by Nurdan Oruntaev, the Minister of Construction and Architecture of Kyrgyzstan, during a statement to APA-Economics. The announcement was made at WUF13, a significant event that brings together urban planning experts from around the globe to share insights and developments in the field.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Oruntaev highlighted the importance of the forum in showcasing advancements in construction and urbanization across various nations. He shared that Kyrgyzstan presented several ongoing projects at the event, including a unique waste processing plant in Bishkek, which stands out as unparalleled in the post-Soviet region.
Oruntaev also discussed the current state of cooperation with Azerbaijan, noting that there have been no joint construction projects since the collapse of the Soviet Union. However, efforts are underway to rebuild these relationships. Last year, under the direction of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, a school was constructed in Karabakh as a gesture of goodwill towards Azerbaijan. This marks the beginning of renewed collaboration, with plans to expand cooperative efforts in the coming years.
