Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva Honor Family of War Martyr in Lankaran

Lankaran: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Founder and Head of the IDEA Public Union, along with Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center, have visited the family of Patriotic War martyr Ulfat Babazada in the Lankaran district. This visit was part of their ongoing efforts to honor those who sacrificed for their country.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva paid tribute to the memory of Ulfat Babazada, a fallen hero whose life and honorable combat path were discussed during their visit. They expressed interest in the welfare and needs of his family members.

Ulfat Gabil oglu Babazada, born in Dashtatuk village of the Lankaran district, served in the Azerbaijani Special Forces during the 44-day Patriotic War. He fought in key operations for the liberation of occupied territories, showing bravery in the Khojavand, Kalbajar, and Shusha directions. Babazada was martyred on November 8, 2020, in the battles for Shusha.

In recognition of his service, President Ilham Aliyev posthumously awarded Ulfat Babazada the 'Azerbaijani Flag' Order and several medals, including 'For the Motherland', 'Brave Warrior', 'For the Liberation of Shusha', 'For the Liberation of Khojavend', and 'For the Liberation of Kalbajar'.
