Lankaran: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, and Arzu Aliyeva, head of the Baku Media Center, visited the family of martyr Ulfat Babazade during their trip to Lankaran, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva honored the memory of Ulfat Babazade, a martyr of the Patriotic War, with deep respect and inquired about the life, combat path, as well as the concerns and needs of the hero's family.
Ulfat Gabil oglu Babazade, born in the Dashtatuk village of the Lankaran district, served in the Special Forces during the Patriotic War. He participated in battles for the liberation of Azerbaijan's territories from occupation and displayed bravery in battles fought in the directions of Khojavand, Kalbajar, and Shusha. He became a martyr during the battles for Shusha on November 8, 2020.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev awarded Ulfat Babazade with the 'Azerbaijan Flag' Order and medals including 'For the Motherland,' 'Brave Warrior,' 'For the Liberation of Shusha,' 'For the Liberation of Khojavand,' and 'For the Liberation of Kalbajar.'
