Maria Zakharova says she knows no position as “Artsakh president”

"Russia supports contacts with Azerbaijan and Armenia in order to stabilize the situation in the region," an official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova told a briefing she gave today, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

Zakharova once again put Armenians in a bad situation by responding to the alleged violation of the Trilateral Statement while the Armenian journalist introduced Araik Arutunyan, the head of the Armenian armed gang groups in Karabakh, as the "president of Arsakh", saying that in a statement released on his behalf a few days ago, the change of the route of the Lachin Corridor ahead of time took place at the suggestion of Russia, and that Russia called on that Azerbaijan will start military operations if this did not happen.

"I am not familiar with these statements. I am not familiar either with the positions that you mentioned. Therefore, I will not even comment on them", thereby declaring that she does not recognize Araik Arutunyan, the head of armed Armenian gangs, and his so-called "presidential position".

As for the change of the route of the Lachin Corridor ahead of time, spokesperson Zakharova added that this route was changed based on the Trilateral Statement of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on November 9, 2020 (November 10-ed.).
