Military Marches Mark 108th Anniversary of Azerbaijan Armed Forces

Baku: Military parades were held in Baku, Khankendi, Shusha, and five other cities to celebrate the 108th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Army's establishment, coinciding with Armed Forces Day on 26 June. The Ministry of Defense informed APA that servicemen, accompanied by military orchestras, marched along designated routes in the capital and cities including Nakhchivan, Sumgayit, Ganja, Barda, Khankendi, Lachin, and Shusha.

According to Azeri-Press Nws Aency, the events began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids who lost their lives for the country. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed, followed by patriotic songs by military orchestras. The marches, accompanied by military songs, drew significant interest and applause from spectators.

In Baku, the march traversed central streets and avenues, accompanied by military bands. The routes included key landmarks such as Heydar Aliyev Palace, Neftchilar Avenue, and Azadlig Square, among others. Multiple routes were designated throughout the city, ensuring a comprehensive celebration that reached various districts.

Beyond Baku, similar military marches and band performances were held in the central locations of Sumgayit, Ganja, Nakhchivan, Barda, Khankendi, Lachin, and Shusha, highlighting the national spirit and unity in celebrating the Armed Forces' achievements.
