Baku: The Minister of Defense Industry, Vugar Mustafayev, announced that products developed by private companies are now being delivered to the Armed Forces as part of state orders. This announcement was made during the event “Professional Holiday of Employees of the Ministry of Defense Industry: 20-Year Path of Development.”
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Mustafayev highlighted that to meet the Armed Forces’ needs efficiently, extensive modernization efforts are underway at defense industry enterprises. These efforts include renovating production areas and enhancing digitalization and automation levels. The minister stated that these developments have enabled the timely and effective fulfillment of state defense orders and expanded export potential.
Mustafayev also underscored the critical role of private sector involvement in the defense industry. Currently, 15 private companies operate in this sector under a license, conducting production and research in cutting-edge fields such as drone technologies, artificial intelligence, electronics, radio-electronic warfare, and missile systems. He emphasized that products from several private companies have already been delivered to the Armed Forces under state orders.
