Baku: 'The cities of the future will no longer be assessed by their size, but by their energy efficiency, technological advancement, and regional connectivity,' said Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, as he addressed the special session on 'Cities at the heart of connectivity: Urban reconstruction and regional cooperation' held as part of the WUF13.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Parviz Shahbazov emphasized the transformative impact of Azerbaijan's energy policies. He credited President Ilham Aliyev's forward-thinking approach, which prioritizes energy security and "green development," as pivotal in establishing Azerbaijan as a crucial hub of connectivity and cooperation across Eurasia. The development of green energy corridors, in tandem with the Middle Corridor, is paving the way for a new energy infrastructure that links the Caspian region with Europe and Asia.
