Baku: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Pop?oi, has condemned the drone attacks carried out by Iran in the direction of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis to APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, also condemned the drone attacks during a meeting with Mihai Pop?oi. She stated that these attacks against Azerbaijan are unacceptable and have been met with outrage by the Azerbaijani people. Mihai Pop?oi expressed Moldova's strong condemnation of these attacks and reaffirmed solidarity with Azerbaijan on this issue.
It was highlighted that Azerbaijan has been supportive of Moldova on numerous issues, with both nations providing mutual support concerning territorial integrity and sovereignty. Mihai Pop?oi expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's support during Moldova's energy crisis.
Additionally, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova updated Mihai Pop?oi on the ongoing normalization and peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Pop?oi expressed his country's support for Azerbaijan's leadership and initiative in the peace process. The meeting also included discussions on other issues of mutual interest.
