Baku: Moldova's Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu has praised Azerbaijan's significant contribution to ensuring Moldova's access to diversified gas sources. Speaking at the 31st Baku Energy Forum, Junghietu acknowledged the roles of Romania, Bulgaria, and Azerbaijan in this critical development for Moldova's energy sector, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Junghietu highlighted Moldova's recent market liberalization efforts, aimed at providing the economy and economic operators with access to a variety of energy sources. This move is part of a broader strategy to navigate the ongoing energy crisis.

Junghietu further elaborated on Moldova's commitment to renewable energy, stating that the country views these sources as central to its energy strategy. He mentioned ongoing efforts to install and promote energy storage systems, with the goal of reducing dependence on imports during peak evening hours.
