Nakhchivan Set to Become Key Logistics and Tourism Hub

Nakhchivan: A meeting was held with a Turkish delegation participating in the 2nd Azerbaijan-Turkiye Regional Economic Forum in Nakhchivan. In his speech, Jeyhun Jalilov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, emphasized the importance of the forum in further developing mutual trade and economic relations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Jeyhun Jalilov noted that President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to Nakhchivan, and highlighted the ongoing implementation of the State Program on the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027. He spoke about the potential transformation of Nakhchivan into a significant logistics and tourism center, facilitated by efforts to advance the peace process in the region and the development of the Zangezur corridor.

Jeyhun Jalilov extended an invitation to Turkish businessmen to actively participate in cooperative ventures. The meeting also included discussions on prospects for cooperation in areas such as cross-border trade, the use of customs privileges, eliminating trade imbalances, and other issues of mutual interest.
