GANJA: Nar, Azerbaijan’s budget-friendly mobile operator, has inaugurated a new mobile telecommunications laboratory in Ganja, in collaboration with Azerbaijan Technological University (ATU). This initiative aims to provide hands-on experience in mobile communication technologies to students pursuing technical degrees.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the laboratory is equipped with essential tools and laptops, facilitating practical learning for ATU students. During the opening ceremony, Nar’s CEO, Gunnar Pahnke, emphasized the company’s dedication to regional development, stating, “This laboratory is another demonstration of Nar’s commitment to supporting the regions. As a forward-thinking company, Nar’s investment in training local telecommunications specialists in the regions is part of our broader contribution to the growth of Azerbaijan’s telecommunications sector.”

Associate Professor Yashar Omarov, acting as Rector of Azerbaijan University of Technology, conveyed his gratitude to Nar, high
lighting the importance of such collaborations. “Our university is dedicated to producing true professionals, and Nar’s willingness to share its expertise plays a key role in helping us achieve this goal. Thanks to the support of private companies, our students will graduate as experts in their fields,” Omarov remarked.

Nar’s collaboration with educational institutions extends beyond Ganja. The company has also partnered with Azerbaijan Technical University in Baku to establish similar laboratories. This strategic partnership reflects Nar’s commitment to fostering the development of local IT specialists in Azerbaijan.
