Baku:The New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) is set to change its election procedure for the chairman, as discussed during its 8th Congress.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, member of the YAP Inspection Commission and MP Nizami Safarov announced the removal of the five-year term limit for the party chairman from the current Charter. Previously, the chairman could be re-elected by the Congress after the expiry of the term.
Nizami Safarov highlighted that the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, who will now lead YAP without a term limit, is expected to bring about new successes and victories for the party.
