Numan Kurtulmus Calls for Reforms in International Platforms Including OIC

Ankara: 'There is a need for reforms on international platforms such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation," Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Trkiye (GNAT) Numan Kurtulmus told journalists, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament emphasized the necessity for a new reform process from institutional, political, and ideological perspectives. He highlighted the need for reforms in state institutions and international platforms like the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Kurtulmus underlined the importance of increasing institutional capacities and strengthening participation, democracy, and consultation (shura) within Islamic countries.

Kurtulmus articulated that new opportunities are emerging, suggesting that by uniting the potential of Islamic countries and transforming capabilities into common strategies and joint projects, the Islamic world could become a significant force globally. He stressed that countries like Azerbaijan and Trkiye, situated at the heart of the Islamic world, should capitalize on these opportunities as it serves the interests of all involved nations.
