Baku: An official welcome ceremony for Peter Pellegrini, President of the Slovak Republic, was held in Shusha on July 14, APA reports. The event commenced with a guard of honor arranged in the square, which was adorned with the national flags of both Slovakia and Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev personally welcomed President Pellegrini. The chief of the guard of honor formally reported to the visiting Slovak President, marking the beginning of the ceremony. The national anthems of both the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan were played, underscoring the significance of the occasion.

Following the anthems, the guard of honor marched past both President Aliyev and President Pellegrini to the accompaniment of a military march. The ceremony also included the introduction of delegations, with members of the Azerbaijani delegation being presented to President Pellegrini, while members of the Slovak delegation were introduced to President Aliyev.
