Baku: Officials who maintain employment relationships with individuals diagnosed as narcological patients in roles restricted by medical examination findings will now face fines of 3,000 manats, as reported by APA. This development comes as part of the discussions held during today's session of the Milli Majlis, focusing on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the proposed new Article 192.13 outlines these penalties, emphasizing the legal consequences for employing narcological patients in jobs where such employment is prohibited. Additionally, Article 192.14 introduces fines of 1,000 manats for officials who hire workers without the necessary medical certification or medical examination opinion for positions with employment restrictions related to narcological patients, as mandated by the Labor Code.
Following thorough discussions, the proposed amendments were subjected to a vote and successfully passed in the first reading, signaling a legislative step towards stricter enforcement of employment regulations concerning narcological patients.
