Oil Fund Revenues from Shah Deniz Field Nearly Double

Baku: In the first quarter of this year, revenues of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) from the implementation of oil and gas agreements amounted to 1 billion 803.1 million manats, APA-Economics reports, citing the Fund. This is 40.2% less compared to the same period last year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, revenues from the sale of profit oil and gas amounted to 1,802.7 million manats, while bonus payments and transit revenues accounted for 0.4 million manats. During the mentioned period, revenues to SOFAZ from the ACG field decreased by 30% compared to the same period last year to 1,400.5 million manats, while revenues from the Shah Deniz field (gas and condensate) nearly doubled to 359.6 million manats. In the first quarter of last year, revenues from ACG amounted to 2,001.6 million manats, while revenues from the Shah Deniz field totaled 181.9 million manats.
