Baku: Over 1,348 hectares of land have been successfully cleared of mines and unexploded ordnances (UXOs) across Azerbaijan's liberated territories. During comprehensive mine-clearing operations conducted from September 7 to 13, a total of 113 anti-personnel mines, 19 anti-tank mines, and 426 UXOs were detected and neutralized in various districts including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) provided these figures in a recent statement, emphasizing the progress made in ensuring the safety of these areas. The agency reported that a significant expanse of 1,348.9 hectares has been rendered safe during this period, reflecting ongoing efforts to address the remnants of conflict and facilitate the safe return of displaced populations to their homes.
