As part of a working trip to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) of China, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan met with Zhang Cuilong, Chairman of the CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Ltd. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the medical and pharmacological fields.

Akylbek Japarov noted that, on behalf of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers should ensure wide access of the population to high-quality medicines at an affordable price.

«In this context, the parties considered the possibility of building a plant in Kyrgyzstan for the production of the most commonly used medicines. At the end of the talks, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of projects based on medical institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and outlined further steps to deepen cooperation and exchange direct contacts and mutual visits,» the Cabinet informed.
