PM: Azerbaijan Continuously Working Towards Modernizing Transport Infrastructure

Minsk: “The presence of modern transport and logistics infrastructure plays a key role in strengthening international trade relations,” said Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov at the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Minsk, APA reports. “Recently, Azerbaijan has established itself as one of the important transport and logistics centers of Eurasia. We are continuously working on the modernization of transport infrastructure and attach great importance to the development of the East-West and North-South international transport corridors. Also, taking into account the new realities in the region, we are actively working on the new Zangezur corridor that will connect Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.”

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani government is making significant investments in green energy technologies, including wind and hydro energy, as part of its response to global challenges related to Climate Change. Prime Minister Asadov emphasized the importance of developing international cooperation in the field of green energy, particularly with Central Asian states. Within this framework of mutual activity, Azerbaijan has signed key agreements and memorandums aimed at implementing projects focused on renewable energy sources.
