Hanoi:President Ilham Aliyev has stressed the importance of protecting the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev addressed the 2nd Meeting of the Heads of Intellectual Property Institutions of the Organization of Turkic States member states, highlighting the need to prevent the misappropriation and distortion of this heritage as a key priority.

He also mentioned that the foundations of intellectual property rights in Azerbaijan were established under the initiative of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and have been developing over the years.
