Mingachevir: President Ilham Aliyev declared that the ‘8 November’ Power Plant will significantly bolster Mingachevir’s role as the energy hub of the South Caucasus. During the inauguration ceremony in Mingachevir, he stated, ‘This power plant will naturally further enhance our energy potential, increase the efficiency of the energy system, and thus reinforce Mingachevir’s status not only as Azerbaijan’s but the entire South Caucasus region’s energy hub.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted that over 40 percent of Azerbaijan’s electricity is currently generated in Mingachevir. He underscored that the ongoing developments affirm that Azerbaijan is progressing in the right direction, strengthening its energy infrastructure and regional prominence.
