Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the importance of ensuring that Azerbaijanis traveling between Nakhchivan and the mainland experience no discomfort. In an interview with Al Arabiya TV channel, Aliyev highlighted the need for international security guarantees as a crucial part of this initiative.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aliyev stated that it is essential for Azerbaijanis to travel without fear for their security, given the historical context of standoff and hostility in the region. He expressed confidence that the implementation of this initiative is near completion and called on Armenia to fulfill its part of the responsibility. Aliyev assured that all necessary infrastructure on the Azerbaijani side is in progress, focusing not only on connecting different parts of Azerbaijan but also on establishing a new transportation line.
