President: Construction of Power Plant in Serbia Marks Major Azerbaijani Investment in Europe

Baku: The construction of a power plant in Serbia has been identified as one of Azerbaijan's significant investments in Europe, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced at the first meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council between Azerbaijan and Serbia. The meeting, which included the participation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, highlighted the expanding cooperation between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of this project as a diversification of the existing energy sector collaboration between Azerbaijan and Serbia. The partnership initially focused on gas cooperation, but the construction of the power plant marks a progression towards maximizing the efficiency of gas usage to produce electricity. President Aliyev underscored that this investment reflects the high level of trust between the two countries and is indicative of Azerbaijan's commitment to European investments in recent years.
